Does anyone remember when shea had a white outfield fence back in 1967? If so can someone post some pics? C60:waving

I don't think that Shea Stadium had a white outfield fence, it just looks that way. The fence was a light green during the 1960's and painted dark green in the late 1960's which remained until about 1981-82 when the current blue was painted.
On B&W photos the light green fence looks white. It's similar to Dodger Stadium during the first 15 or so years or so that the wall was a very light, light blue, so much that one could barely make out the white distance markers on the walls during day games. I have a game tape from the 1974 World Series and that California sunshine was blinding. Later on (1970's or 1980's) they painted it a darker blue and the white markers stood out more.
