Coaches: Need comments regarding dealing with blatant biased umpires.

Not sure I can really do anything. But, had a game where the umpire just would not call strikes for my pitchers. Even pitches that were obvious strikes.

Is there anything professional to do if you feel you are being intentionally derailed by the umpires?

Go to mound for a visit, wait until he comes to the mound to get the game going; make sure he actually comes all the way to the mound...say what you need to say.

I've rarely seen biased umpires. There was a travel softball tournament my daughter's team played in with a reputation for making sure two out of state teams didn't make the finals. What I usually see with bad calls is bad umpiring. Bad umpiring goes both ways. The team that got the worst calls and loses the game usually thinks the umpiring is one sided. It's not common to see a post on bad calls by winning teams.
