I just saw on mlb.com that tickets in the Rockpile are being sold for $65 dollars.
I know it's the World Series and all, but that's a 1300% markup. Now, I've seen plenty of games from the Rockpile, and they're not bad seats for 5 dollars, but for $65 I would hope I could at least get a seat with a back instead of a space on a bench!

I can relate...back in 2005 the standing room seats in houston were astronomical (no pun intended)...they jack up the prices for the world series because it means more money...I have watched the rockies and I see a similarity between the fans in denver this year and the fans in houston in 05...back in 05 the juice box was jumping...i still feel they should have let the stros close our roof...but the way it seems denver is coming together is what reminds me of houston in 05...that and both teams made mad rush comebacks...good luck in the world series...rep the NL well

SRO tickets were through the roof, and since this is the World Series, Major League Baseball is basically in control of as much on and off-the-field aspects as possible. Even though I'm a White Sox fan, I feel the Minute Maid Park roof should've been closed if the Astros wanted it that way. However, it wasn't like we Chicagoans could control the weather to our advantage. I heard someone on the Astros complain that we had out weather as an "advantage" during the first 2 games. Oh please...like we made the weather cold just to make the Astros lose. Game 1 was okay, but game 2 was pretty cold and wet...even for Chicago's standards. But the homers by Paul Konerko and Scott Podsednik more than made up for it (sorry, but that's some great memories here in Chi-town).

yea those homers were worse imo than the pujols homer because they were in the ws...especially the podsednik homer...if he doesnt hit that one the astros would have returned to mmp tied 1-1...it would have been a different series...but thats baseball...full of ifs

That is nothing compared to the $250 bleachers cost for the yankees - Marlins WS game. Prices nowdays are crazy.

Nearly three months after the World Series online-ticketing fiasco, federal authorities have yet to identify anyone who perpetrated what the Colorado Rockies called a "malicious attack" on ticket-sales computers, and a state investigation has ended before it began.
"The Rockies never actually provided us with any complaint" about the system collapse, said Nate Strauch, spokesman for Colorado Attorney General John Suthers. "They didn't provide us with any information to initiate any investigation."

2007 World Series ticket controversy
On October 17th 2007, a week before the first game of the 2007 World Series vs. Boston, the Colorado Rockies announced that tickets would be made available to the general public via online sales only despite prior arrangements to sell the tickets at local retail outlets. Five days later on October 22nd, California based ticket vendor Paciolan, Inc., the sole contractor authorized by the Colorado Rockies to distribute tickets, was forced to suspend sales after less than an hour due to an overwhelming number of attempts to purchase tickets.
An official release from the baseball organization claimed that they were the victims of a denial of service attack. These claims, however, were unsubstantiated and neither the Rockies nor Paciolan have sought investigation into the matter. The United States Federal Bureau of Investigation has started its own investigation of these claims.[6] Ticket sales resumed the next day, with all three home games selling out within 2 and a half hours.
As a result of the decision to sell tickets solely online local fans of the Colorado Rockies were placed at a disadvantage, forced to compete with ticket brokers and ticket scalpers from around the world. Also at a disadvantage were the disabled and those unable to access or afford an internet connection. It is widely accepted that agents and scalpers purchased a majority of the tickets made available to the general public. Within an hour of tickets selling out the average price had inflated to over five times face value and by the next day soared to over 100 times face value, well out of reach for most local fans who had supported their team for a decade.
Going to be interesting what the FBI finds if they go public with this blatant ticket scam with the Monforts taking advantage of the miracle that the Rockies performed.

Me too. My wish has either Kroenke/Bowlen or both take over the Rockies franchise and make it a constant winner like the other professional Colorado teams.
