Hi, I recently came into 2 Ticket stubs from what I believe are Minor League games from around the 50's. One is Yellow and the other is Red.

The yellow has a stamped price tag on the back of 50 cent plus 5 cent tax and the other says Grand Stand at $1.25 with a disclaimer on the back.

There are no dates on either one and they are both Rain Checks. Can anyone tell me if they are real or fake and any general info on them? I have Pics of them but have no clue of how to upload them from my computer.
Thanks so much!

Mostra, while our beloved Senators MAY have sometimes played like minor leaguers, they were most definitely a major league team. The ORIGINAL Senators played in Washington from 1901 (when the American League was formed) until 1960 when owner Calvin Griffith moved them to Minnesota where they resumed play in 1961 as the Minnesota Twins.

The American League expanded to 10 teams in 1961 with the "new" Washington Senators (and the Los Angeles Angels). The second incarnation of the Senators would represent Washington through 1971.

Here are some tickets from an Ebay auction-do yours look anything like this?

Yes they do except mine doesn't have a date on them. They could be the Rain Check tickets stubs I've heard about that got issued if a game was cancelled. I have pics of them but don't know how to upload. Can you help?

Simply make another post-along the top (under the word "Message:" you'll see two "As", then "Fonts", "Sizes" another letter A a smiley face and then a paper clip. Add your text, then click on the paperclip. You will be prompted to add the attachment from your computer. (I'm assuming that these are digital images, you'll need to know the name of the file.) Good luck!

Sorry, I can't help (too much) with a date.

Clark Griffith was the owner of the Washington Senators from 1920 until his death on Oct. 27, 1955. His adopted nephew Calvin took over the team at that time.

With his facsimilie signature on the tickets it would have to be 1955 or earlier. Possibly the ticket price (55 cents) could help narrow down a year.

Well, I do appreciate the effort. Thanks so much.
