Only one Mets player has ever had 200 hits in a season. Name the player, the year, and if you know, the number of hits.
Bonus question: What Met player led the team with the LEAST amount of hits in team history. (Hint: it's after their 1969 WS championship).

Lance Johnson, with 227 hits in 1996. It also made him the first and only player (so far) to lead each league in hits.
Bonus question ---- Tommie Agee with 96 hits in 1972. The 1972 Mets are the only team to play a full season without a 100-hit player.

And to make it interesting, in was in consecutive seasons also.

The 1972 Mets are the only team to play a full season without a 100-hit player.
And to think they were the NL pennant winners the very next year. What a crazy game!
