Haven't figured it out, but did notice that Greenberg is the only player to ever have 200 hits, 100 BBs and 100 SOs in a season.

A clue for trying: The 3rd member joined in the late 1980's.

Well, had another thought, but its not the answer. Noticed that they both won and lost the World Series in MVP years. But the list also includes Maris, Hubbell, Mantle, Capanella and Berra.

Is it Robin Yount? I believe you're looking for the other players to win MVP at two positions. Yount took it at shortstop in 1982 and as a centerfielder in' 89. Alex Rodriguez also did this. He won as shortstop in 2003 and as third baseman in '05 as well.

Yes, you are correct with Yount. And yes, with A-Rod. I was thinking more of 'earning MVP in both the Infield and Outfield', but its fair to make A-Rod the 4th member then, for anyone with MVP in two different positions.
