Does anyone know why there isnt a glare shield available for hockey style masks? I am certain they can be adapted from the ones the football players use on their helmets.
I have difficulty wearing sunglasses under my gear and I am constantly playing on a field where the sun is right behind the pitcher.

My son has the same problem. He wears the Rawlings helment. Let me know if you are able to work something out so I can fix his helmet too.

If you hate glare so much, get polarized sun glasses.

I do have polarized sunglasses, but they move around too much when I put my mask on. That is why I was curious about a shield for my mask.
I have ordered a shield that they put on the football helmets to see if I could modify it in some way.

Make sure you put it on the shield inside of the mask or the first time he drops the mask it will scratch.
My son is a catcher and has to wear glasses we have sports glass with clip on flip up polarized sun glasses (style 3 in following link) note they are safety glasses made for ball. http://www.littleleaguesunwear.com/diamondfeatures.html
He wears and takes off the sun glass when not needed. He has gone the whole season and they stayed in adjustment and do not slip off. We did have a sports band to help keep glasses on but found out they were not need if the mask and glasses are adjust correctly.
hope this helps'

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately, the glasses keep shifting on my head when I move around with my helmet on. I just hate to make adjustments when my pitcher is ready to throw.
I have received my anti-glare shield from UnderArmour for the football helmets. I took a dremel tool to it to get the shape I need. Not bad so far. Attaching it with clips is the next step.

go to your eye glass provider and get them adjusted your frame and take your catching mask with you. That was what I did for my son and the provider saw what my boy was dealing with and made adjustments accordingly.
You may want to get some anti fog and good eye glass cleaner for your shield so as not to scratch the shield up when you get it dirty

This is exactly it. I hope it adapts to my Rawlings helmet so I dont have to get an All Star model. Thanks..

Rawlins has a catchers mask visor for sale on Baseball warehouse. It says it fits traditional style masks only. I thought I remembered one for hockey style but can't seem to locate it.
