Final result Cleveland vs. Yankees
Games 1 and 2 at Cleveland
Games 3 and 4 (if neccessary) at New York
Game 5 (if neccessary) at Cleveland
----------------------------------------
My pick is 3-2 for the Indians
Why?
Because of Sabathia, Carmona and Byrd vs. Wang

I can Sabathia giving them problems in game 1, and Wang pitches poorly on the road. So I go with the Tribe in Game 1.
But the Yankees have already beat Fausto Carmona twice this year. I'm not worried about him. And Byrd and Westbrook are certainly no better than Clemens and Mussina (or, really, Wright and Lidle from last year). I think the Yanks take game 2 in League Park (or whatever they call that place the Indians play in now), and then sweep the rest at home.

Neither are Carmona and Sabathia. I like C.C. winning both his starts, the Yankees beating Fausto in Game 2, and Byrd doing his Paul Byrd thing and picking up a W in Game 3.

I'm a huge Yankee fan and I'm praying that they win, but realistically, I think the Indians will take it in 4 games.
The old guys (Clemens and Mussina) are going to let us down. I am so sure of this, it's not even funny. I wish Torre would let Ian Kennedy have a start. Or even Joba Chamberlain, as crazy as that may sound. He is a starter after all. I would trust him with the season on the line in a heartbeat over Mussina.
But of course if Yankee pitching gets rocked and they lose the series, everyone will blame it on A-Rod anyway.

I could certainly see that, but I'll be nice and give the Indians a game

I'm not saying it should be the overwhelming choice. I myself am unsure of it, could easily see the Indians winning and would bet nothing on any result.
Just saying I'm surprised that no one else has picked it. I'd expect this board to have at least one blindly biased Yankees fan somewhere.

Wow, 8 out of 10 picked the Indians to win. Then again, 4 out of 5 dentists recommend Crest and I use Colgate and I think it's great.
I think the whole series depends on what the Yankees get out of Clemens and Mussina. Unfortunately I don't see them getting much at all from either of them.
Cleveland in 4. God, I hope I'm wrong.
