CBS Sports ranks players and teams using a rating system. You can see a sample here (http://www.sportsline.com/mlb/playerrankings/regularseason/RP).

Anyone know how they calculate their hitter, pitcher, and team ratings?

I believe those are for Fantasy baseball purposes. At any rate, they're pretty much meaningless.
