Officially eliminated

We are officially eliminated in the standings and 2 games away from elimination in the wild card. How sad is that after we were 1.5 games in the wild card standings and about 3 games out before we went to Colorado.

Heck, I remember us being in first place after the All-Star. What happened to my Dodgers? :-). Everything just felt apart. Anyway, is wait till next year for us.

The Dodgers second half reminds me a lot of my Detroit Tigers. For a while they had the best record in baseball and then before you knew it they played like arguably the worst team in baseball for 6 weeks.

While I'm not a Dodger fan by any means, I do have season tickets to them and would have liked to see some playoff baseball. For a while it looked like a Dodgers-Tigers World Series was a possibility. I guess we'll have to wait another year...

It seems to me that the Rockies have a habit of spoiling the fun.....but the team simply fell apart after the AS game and now need to pick up the pieces and prepare for next season.

I seem to recall the Dodgers being officially eliminated at the exact same point in the 2005 season.
