Been a few threads on this already. But I voted to send it to the hall as is.

i voted to asterisk it and send it. I think that best reflects the steroid era and the sentiment of the time

Send it to the Hall without the asterisk.

I understand the whole asterisk thing, but don't we put our own judgments on every record? People prefer Ruth and Cobb to Aaron, Maris, and Rose.

Throw the asterik on it then send it to the Hall

The ball, and the player who hit it, both belong in the HoF with no asterisks.

To the hall as it is. Who exactly is doing this? And where does he get the kind of money to blow 3/4 of a million dollars?

Probably from his billion dollar clothing company.

BTW, I thought some of the people who hate this idea will love this website (http://www.vote756marcecko.com/).

Stamp the * and send it to HOF.

What I want to know is -- will the Hall display it with an asterik?

Put the asterik on all sides so they can't just turn it around and hide it.

where does he get the kind of money to blow 3/4 of a million dollars?

I wouldn't consider getting nationwide publicity and some of the most watched and read media outlets in the country for $750K is "blowing" anything.

The advertising value of the airtime he's gotten actually makes this one the shrewdest business moves of the year.

The HOF has apparently claimed that they'd accept the ball with the asterisk. Personally, I think that is a bad decision in terms of precedent.

So, now it is acceptable for a fan to mark a piece of equipment with a virtual political statement before donating it to the Hall, and the HOF will accept it and display it.

Maybe Schilling should have written "Bush Rules" on the bloody sock.
