Unless/Until the D.C. United soccer team gets a stadium of its own, it will continue to host United soccer games.

There's been talk of the United getting a soccer-only stadium, but right now it's just been speculation--no funding.

I've heard long-shot rumors the Redskins want to return to DC proper, and could use the RFK site for a new stadium, but given that FedEx Field is only 10 years old, I doubt that is going to happen for a while. (Then again, the Miami Heat abandoned the Miami Arena--which was built for them--after only 11 years, so anything's possible.)

Yeah but the Miami Arena isn't a 91,704 seat stadium is it. Big corporate difference there I think.

True, and I doubt Fed Ex Field is going anywhere anytime soon.

But I have heard Redskins fans hate the place with a passion.

Can't wait to see the plans for the new stadium. Interestingly, they already blocked off the area where the new stadium will be built, but they haven't shown the public any of the plans.

Dan Snyder isn't going to just sit there and let Jerry Jones build that monument to himself in Dallas, while he sits in a stadium created out of desperation by a dying Jack Kent Cooke. The Redskins will be back in DC by 2012 at the latest...

well in any event, FedX will most likely be staying with the Redskins as they have good ties with the skins and Coach Gibbs.

My timeline may be a bit short, but yours is almost certainly too long.
However, I doubt either one of us will still be posting here by then (if there is even a here still here), so I guess we shouldn't bet on it! :waving

Thirty-five dollars to park your car at FedEx. Food is outrageously overpriced. I think beer is $7 a cup.
