View Full Version : At a loss
I know I am not offering an opinion that hasn't been expressed before, but what's happened?
This 2007 Orioles team ain't as bad as they are playing!
Have these guys just been beaten down and have decided to mail it in every night?
I fear Roberts and Markakis are going to "catch" some of this fever that seems to plaque this organization.
I never in my wildest dreams thought that Baltimore would ever "lose"
the O's but 30 years ago I would have said the same thing about the B'More Colts.

It is truely sad to watch. The 2000 Orioles were a truely horrible team. The 2007 Orioles have alot more talent. Yet they haven't shown it on the field. Heck this season we've seen new lows, losing 30-3 and getting no hit by a rookie making their second start (I hate even more that it was against the sox). Sometimes I feel this organization is hopeless.
But MacPhail may be able to get us out of this. He just made his first deal, trading Trachsel. He got much more than I ever expected him to get. This offseason will be his first chance to really turn the team around (I've heard rumors that big changes will be made). It shouldn't be much longer until we're back on top (assuming Angelos lets MacPhail do his job).

Yeah . . . the Orioles now are in worse shape than they were in '88 (after going 54-107 with 21 losses in a row to start the year) for the simple reason that now it's like there's an air of losing culture at Camden Yards . . . whereas in '89, the Orioles darn near won the division . . .
I dunno where the Orioles go next . . . but I think Peter Angelos should do something anatomically impossible with a baseball bat

I'd settle for him just transfering the bat to a new owner's hands.
