Bud Fowler

I have always wondered why Bud Fowler gets neglected for consideration. He was the first black professional player, he had a very long career, and was quite well regarded in his own time.

I was surprised he wasn't included in the mass induction of Negro Leaguer's in 2006.

He didn't even make the 39 member list that the 12 man electing committee voted on. I haven't seen enough to convince me Fowler was good enough, but that may just be a dearth of information in the sources I've read.
