We had this game all the way until the ninth inning. I'm tired of Cordero Blowing it for the Nats.

Cordero shouldn't have even been in this game to begin with. What was Acta doing bringing in Cordero with a 5 run lead? We don't have any decent alternatives to Cordero, especially after dealing away Fruto. I do think we should trade him, but not because of his performance, because he could net us a pretty good prospect like Carlos Gonzales, Carlos Quinten, froms the D'Backs, or Mike Pelfrey from the Mets.

Here's my take, he shouldn't have been in. But he should be traded for a couple of Top Notch Prospects.

Cordero is one of the BEST closers in the NL, why get rid of him?

No he isn't he's terrible. No one can blow a 5-1 lead in the 9th. Even the Devil Rays can't do that.

Nobody should lose 30-3 either. But hey... it happens.

It happens to the best of pitchers. Its happened to Gagne, its happened to Rivera, in the world series even, its happened to Papelbon, its happened to Wagner, its happened to Hoffman, its happened to Putz. Its no big deal, its only one game, and its not like we're in a pennant race anyways.

Oh come on now, cry me a river, he's just been a little off of late, before that, he was lights out.
A better question would be: was the 6-5 loss the toughest one of the year?

It's way up there. After the Rockies' visit to DC in July where we won 3 of 4, I thought the Curse of Jamey Carroll was over, but after the first two games in Denver, maybe not.

Poor Carroll, led the league in OBP last year and had a fantastic hitting season overall, now he's been demoted to bench player with a little under 200 at-bats...and it's not as if he really had a chance to play every day with Matsui there.
