A friend of mine recently told me about a baseball he has signed by a bunch of New York Yankees. It is the 25 man roster from the 1964 World Series plus Berra and Colletti. He is not much of a sports fan and Im not much of a collector so we are wondering what the best way to have the ball appraised to find out its value. He had tried a couple years ago and the best he could come up with then was somebody who wanted him to mail the ball to him, or he would have to drive to New York. We live in Wisconsin. Another offered "500 dollars staight up without seeing the ball". He knows there is more value than that. Would there be somebody who could guess-timate a value of this ball if it were "authentic" or could somebody direct me to an appraiser in the Chicago or Minneapolis areas? Somebody who could authenticate the signatures? He's not certain he really wants to sell, more interested to see what he really has.

Thank You,
Bernie....

5-10K when some baseballs with Mantles signature alone goes for 10-20? Or is 5-10 if he doesnt have it certified? Im not questioning your judgement. I don't know who you are or what you know, so im in no place to do so. I simply ask because I don't know, but also know what I find on the net.

Thanks

Spend the time and have it authenticated by the same companies who grade cards will probably bring better bids. Can you post pictures would love to see it.
