I took a video of my swing for the first time and I noticed that my back elbow wasn't as high as I thought and I was basically trying to put it as high as possible. I couldn't stretch it any higher. My forearms formed like an upside down V. Could this be because my hands are too high or possibly because my lead forearm is too bent?? Thanx guys.

Your elbow doesn't have to be high, Its a matter of Preference it comes down in the swing anyway

People think too much about the back elbow. It's almost irrelevant in the setup. The important thing is where are your HANDS, and how are they set, and how is the bat set? The hand position and bat angle are the important things. Your back elbow sets itself according to those things. Your back elbow needs to move correctly as the swing starts, but where it is in the stance is only important as to how it relates to hands and bat position.

back elbow slotting action resembles the loading portion of the throwing motion.
it can be a low elbow resembling the sidearm/rock skipping throw that Slaught describes, or it can be a higher arm slot (throw) back elbow (hitting) that the majority of mlb power hitters now employ.
Low elbow was more prevalent in Old days in MLB, ? weight of bat (heavier) and height of zone (higher) related.
