I was reading about Tom Verducci's all-time team today. He did a decent job for a sportswriter, he did put Gibson on the team without mentioning Oh, He does have A-rod overrated, but that's to be expected. But then I scroll down to coaches:
Hitting Coach | Charley Lau | Catcher from 1956 to '67 and hitting coach for five teams
Popularized the "weight shift" style of hitting.

Considering the accomplishments he did as a hitting coach for Royals, Yankees and 1983 ChiSox, that's not surprising... I know there are a lot of member who contradicts to his method, his accomplishments are actually hard to ignore. But, I guess his methods didn't work out for particular hitters (Sammy Sosa complained about his swing methods taught by Walt Hriniak back when he was in ChiSox according to his autobiography).
