Setting aside the fact he executes the idea poorly if he had done any kind of a net search over the last 10+ years he could have saved himself a lot of time inventing something that had already been done.

I guess he never saw Epstein's drill where you put the bat on the outside of the shoulder. (In a better manner than this guy's technique)

He takes almost ten minutes to explain that you need to keep your hands back and turn the box. Amazing that he thinks he's discovered something new. ie. "don't swing with the arms."

I think mankin has the best explanation of transfer mechanics in terms of how the swing is a blend of a CHP/Pendulum component and a handle torque component.

Petricca's "torque" swing is actually a way of eliminating or minimizing the TORQUE component to focus on maitaining/establishing the CHP/Pendulum component.

It eliminates improper use of back arm/top hand dominance that would degrade rather than enhance the CHP swing.

This would fit well with PCR.

It will not work for mlb becasue you need the well blended handle torque component to adjust the swing plane and quickne the swing for early batspeed and late adjustability.

Epstein starts with CHP/Pendulum and learning to coil torso with torque drill, then moves on to start adding torque with arm/albow action.

Mankin starts with CHP, then adds torque as well. Jack said:

"When I first ask a student to swing the PathFinder (or a piece of rubber hose), they find they are producing very little bat speed from their hand path. They get their hands to the zone but the bat-head (or hose) is left dragging far from contact (a heavy bag).

Note: The PathFinder and rubber hose eliminates torque (push/pull of the hands) as a factor in accelerating the bat-head.

Even though the batter may have good body rotation, their upper body mechanics takes their hands too close to the body and in too straight a path to produce an adequate “pendulum effect” of the bat-head. It takes a good bit of practice for them to develop a CHP that swings the bat-head instead of just driving the knob forward. Once they are producing good bat speed from their hand-path, then we can work on adding torque in the swing to maximize their bat speed."

ROFLMAO........

Bonds used this video to reach his MLB record. Roids had nothing to do with it:
