legitimate autographs - Clemente

As boys, my brother and I would send away for team photo requests, etc.

One year (about 1972), we received small black and white, autographed photos from Roberto Clemente and Manny Sanguillen.

Another year we received a glossy, black and white photo of Catfish Hunter.

Just curious, if anybody knew if these autograph request from way back were actual autographs or if somebody in the PR department cranked out forged autographs.

send it away to get certified if it comes back as not real then you know some1 faked it or its auto pen but back then i dont even know if they made them id send it to like beckett or something

You can also compare the signatures to the signatures on other sites (like eBay or Steiner).

Can you tell if it's actually written on the photo or merely part of the photo?
