I thought it might be cool if we were all able to see how far the Fever spreads across the world, and to see which continents have the fever pretty bad. So, here goes:

I'm in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, North America.
North America, 1.
Rest of the World, 0.

Cool, got a buddy from the Blyth area, love it around there ... Taking in Newcastle's many social hot spots on a Friday eve is one of my favorite things in the world to do.

That's great - If you like castles, links golf courses, Roman forts and sheep, Northumberland is the place for you. I work for British Airways, which gives me the opportunity to hop over to the East Coast practically for free to watch baseball games. I'm planning to bring my 6 year old over for a weekend at Shea as soon as the season starts - it'll be his first ball game.

I agree with a night out "on the toon" in Newcastle. Unfortunately, I've not been able to keep up with the lasses since my student days!!

The wife and I were in Las Vegas just a couple of months ago between Christmas and New Year's. We stayed in the Luxor, in the towers, not in the pyramid. We were on the fourteenth floor and in between the shows, the food, and the legal sports gambling, found one of the best entertainment options in the city was sitting in the room watching the mountains change color. Great city - can't wait to go back!!!!

I put all seven continents on the poll because it didn't take very long to do it. Besides, there actually was someone from Antarctica here at one point, so why not Africa? As for Europe, we have a large following "over there," many who are regulars here. The English text of this site can easily be translated into different languages if you have the proper program. We had a Japanese member last fall. Baseball is a growing and universal sport. They are even playing it in Afghanistan (and probably Iraq after the war ends).

Been to Vegas, too. Heck, it's a three-hour drive in good traffic from where I'm staying (Corona, CA), but there is a lot of construction on the 15, and the portion in the open desert is one of the most dangerous roads in America. Anyway, I kinda make it a habit to stay at the MGM, but the last time I went, I stayed at the Desert Inn and it wasn't bad, actually. When I was smaller, my family used to stay at the Excalibur.

I am supporting the European ranks! So that makes 11.

Etten-Leur, the Netherlands. About 70 miles south of Amsterdam.

One fever vote from China, where I am now and have been for a long time. Raised in an area where Red Sox Nation and Yankee Nation kind of bleed together, and grew up a NY fan in a seriously Boston household. Mom loved me anyway, but I know sometimes it wasn't easy for her!

Another North America vote here.

From "The Rock"! That lovely piece of granite off the east coast of Canada - Newfoundland.

I've visited Vegas! Stayed at the Sands, which I understand no longer exists.... going back again in August, no idea where I'm staying.

I can recommend Excalibur. It is a nice hotel. If you stay there, the dinner show in the cellar is a must see. There is only one bad point about that. You get a baked potato served.... Potatoes in Medieval Times... Yeah right. The first potato came to Europe when the first Conquistadores came back from South America.

California------------LA-------- Overlooking the Staples Center

So you are living near the Staples Center... That gives me a better idea where you live.

We'd get a better picture if this poll were promo'd on all the threads. I think there are folks on the international baseball site not present here, not to mention the Latin threads. It would also be interesting to break out the North American results into Canada and the U.S.

I live on Flower if that gives you a better idea. The loft I have has a terrible view of Staples Center but from the roof you can see it all.

You must of came when the dollar was high. The hotels of Europe are way more expensive espically now that the Euro is high.

Fresno, California. Or right smack dab in the middle of Cali. Or "The Valley". Or, to some deranged people, the middle of nowhere.

Home of two of the greatest High School baseball dynasties ever. We've produced: Frank Chance, Tom Seaver, Pat Coralles, Dick Ellsworth, Jim Maloney, Dutch Leonard, Rex Hudler, Stan Papi, and many others that you probably haven't heard of.

The hotels in Holland are really expensive. Especially in Amsterdam.

But when we planned our trip last year we have checked some sites of LV hotels. The Bellagio was much more expensive than hotels like Excalibur.
