I need some exercises to increase arm strength while my hip is healing I have about 4 1/2 months to increase it as much as I can, I would also like to work on hitting strength too. I have a resistance band, dumbells, weights, bench, and the works, I have a few balls abotu 4 or 5 not enough to really long toss by myself with. What are some exercises I could do to gain about 10lbs and increase my throwing and hitting strength a significant amount? Oh by the way one more thing I play 3rd base and outfield, and pitcher so I need a good arm, what are some tips to play 3rd base better?

How old are you? Look up Jaeger Long Toss. As a 14 year old my son was throwing 75 mph on Labor Day last year and now reaches into the low 80's. He recently struck out 9 batters in 4 innings in a jv high school game. He had 18 strike outs in his last 9 innings of junior varsity high school ball. He has grown from about 5'6" 115 lbs. to 6' 143 lbs. I do credit a Jaeger Long Toss Camp with adding about 5 mph. The keys to Jaeger Long Toss: Long warm up and stretch BEFORE throwing. He says warm-up to throw, don't throw to warm up.

Can you get clips at normal speed and slow-mo of your pitching up? Mechanics can make a difference too.

You have a hip injury and you are asking about putting on weight? The hips are the link in the chain from the bottom of your body to the top. Get HEALED first then train. Please heed that advice. It's tempting to try to push it when you are hurt, but those few extra weeks that you let the hip heal will allow you to train at 100%.

I agree. Pitching is an explosive movement that can cause major problems, from re-injuring your hips to blowing out your arm. Work on the rehab program given to you by your doctor / physical therapist. Ask the doctor when can you begin training for baseball. Do look up Jaeger and get his throwing program after you get the okay from your doctor.

ah yea i know im resting my lower body and just gonna exercise my arm till I feel better and can actually go long toss or pitch. I know most of your power comes from your hips in hitting and pitching so I need to recover before the season. Thanks I was lookin for jobes.
