Jim Leyland was the last AL MOTY. This year the Tigers aren't so good but they are still a strong contender for the AL winner.
Who is actually your choice for the AL Manager of the Year ?
My choice are Mariner's coach John McLaren and Angel's Mike Scioscia.
Why?
I think the Mariners don't have so quality roster like the Red Sox or the Yankees but in spite of that, the Mariners have excellent results. I think John McLaren (and Mike Hargrove) did a good job and it's my favourites.
The Angel's are one of the best teams in MLB, always on the top, very reliable and without stress situations for their fans. Mike Scioscia has a big part of their success. He has my support, also.
You may choose 2 (two ) managers.
Mike Hargrove! Mariners were winning before McLaren took over. He doesn't deserve it. Even if they make the playoffs, Hargrove deserves more credit.

O, yes. It's make sense.
Matt, please, could you put in the poll Mike Hargove (2005.-2007.) with McLaren, together ?

Hargrove shouldn't win, he didn't manage for the full season. Didn't the Mariners have a losing record under McLaren up until about a week ago?
You obviously can't give it to a guy with a losing record, so that eliminates Maddon, Washington, Bell, Guillen, Gardenhire, and Geren. You can't give it to a guy whose roster is so immensely talented that it's a surprise when they don't win, which eliminates Scioscia, Torre, Leyland, and Francona. You can't give it to an interim manager, which eliminates McLaren and Trembley. That leaves Gibbons and Wedge. If the Blue Jays can make the playoffs, then I'll give it to Gibbons. As of right now, I'm going with Wedge.

Buddy Bell - He actually got the Royals to have back-to-back winning months.
Joe Torre - Because even if the team has the best 25-man team in the history, to come back as far as the Yankees have, it's an achievement.

Went with Mike Mike Scioscia. Had a good pitching staff to work with but he is getting the job done.

If Cleveland wins the Division, Eric Wedge, and if the Yanks reach the playoffs, Joe Torre.

I voted for Torre since I was unaware you could vote for 2. As redlegsfan21 said, to come from as far back as they did (on April 27 they were in the basement under Tampa Bay at .381 6.5 games back) I think if they make the playoffs, he deserves it.
But I would also have voted for McClaren if I had voted twice like I was supposed to.

Yeah. A manager who abandons his team during the season for no real reason deserves the MOTY more than the guy who took over and has done just as good a job.
