Tom Giffen of Roy Hobbs Baseball has added a 15U girls' division to the women's portion of the 2007 Women's National Championship/Roy Hobbs World Series in Ft. Myers, Florida. As I understand it, 15U is being loosely defined as girls ages 10-15. This is to help establish baseball for girls and give them more opportunities to play.
This will become the first-ever U.S. national girls' baseball tournament. It will run from October 26-28 and will be played at the Stars Complex.
Any girls who fit within the age group and who are interested in playing in the first-ever national girls' baseball tourney can contact Mary Jo Stegeman at mjo84@comcast.net or Tom Giffen at tom@royhobbs.com.
