Well, both of them are suppose to do what they did, Bush being a baseball fan and President which makes him have to take notice and Pelosi represents the SF area.

Keep in mind the troubles they would bring upon themselves for attacking someone not yet convicted of any crime. As public officials this would cause problems.
And as redlegs notes, Pelosi is elected by that district, who support Bonds.
I guess Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton hasn't chimed in yet.
It doesn't feel like an official record unless we hear from these guys.

To put it really simply, it refers to when both major parties are in agreement over an issue.

When I said parties, I meant political (I thought given the nature of the topic that being political parties it wold be implied). Oh and it's not only the US this applies to.

Strange... we wish people like Jackson and Sharpton would just go away, yet we keep bringing them up in discussions like these. Is it worth it?
