If Miguel doesnt lose his weight, he'll be hard pressed to even finish his career.
He is a nice guy "know him personally" and a gifted player (24yrs old) still a baby!! Newly married with multiple kids huge money rolling in. Once he settles down watch out I'm guessing we havent seen anything yet aside from the fact that he swings(6yrs) the best bat made!!! Mine:)

Vlad is the better player, both offensively and defensively. Cabrera alledgedly has some attitude problems, and it's questionable as to whether or not Cabrera will have the longevity due to his weight gain. But being in the Al with the DH rule could help him add offensive numbers.
The only thing that hurts Vladimir Guerrero was that he played in the steroid era. His numbers are impressive, but there were so many others putting up similar numbers. With Cabrera, that's not the case. Cabrera's numbers are matched by only a few players.
So for your question, "Who will go down as the better player?". That's may be Cabrera for having less competition offensively. Vlad is more talented though.

I went with Vlad who has some defensive value with the great arm and playing RF and was in general more of an all-around player. Cabrera has been moved from OF/3B to 1B after only a few seasons, to my knowledge is not anything notable as a baserunner and has had critcisms for this work ethic and effort or lack thereof.
