I think they switched the pictures on the cards of the two player. No correction was made the I know of.

The best day in a very long time. Bob Skinner with a beautiful signature on a 16 X 20 of the aftermath of the Mazeroski home run. Mickey Vernon has also signed it. Now I just need Mazeroski to complete all of the living players sigs. I received HOF Al Kaline on a baseball, Bud Harrelson on a card, and Bill Virdon on a 4 X 6 photograph.

I intended to make another print for him, but instead he gives me his e-mail and asks if I could send him a copy or the link on the IBAF site where it was. i did both when I got home.

I've had players who've never seen pics of themselves in the Olympics/IC Cup/other International competitions ask me for copies. I'm glad to oblige.

One player offered me his e-mail without asking and told me if I had a copy of the pic he signed to send it. I did when I got home and next day he sees me and yells his thanks to me.

The fact that a player gets a kick out of seeing a pic of himself he's never seen before adds something to the hobby...

That Terrell Buckley signed BASEBALL card is really cool. It's dope when these NFL players make their cameos in the minor leagues. Just shows how great athletes they really are (and how hard it is to make the major leagues).

Buckley hit 196 in 107 AB's w/ no homers and 9 steals at A ball in 1993.

I wrote Buckley when he was active and signed 2 football cards.

There are a lot of reasons. Maybe he was drafted by his favorite team, or played with a certain minor league team, or he got to meet him at a stadium, or maybe being just a collector each player/card has its own special place and it dosent matter if the player made the majors or not. It dosent matter how much the card is worth monetarily.

Some of my favorite autographs are guys who never got passed AA. My goal was always to get a card signed, no matter who it was.

While I've never attempted TTM, I think it's cool to see a Rex de la Nuez autograph. That one actually impressed me more than seeing some of the bigger names in this thread.

I was away for about three days and in came a suprise at the mail box. My First TTM success! Jeremy Sowers 1/2 20 days Kept my `07 Topps Co Signers card. Also in the mail box was a New York Yankees Fan Pack. It included 6 sets of stickers, pencil, pen, 07 Topps Yankee cards,a derek jeter card, keychain, and 5 magnents. Another thing in the mailbox was a Louisville Bats Fan Pack with a pocket schedule and an autograph photo from the mascot.Great Day!

For many of us collectors, we get as much joy from getting some of the more obscure guys as we do in getting Hall of Famers. I'm sure Jakre is very happy with this return....otherwise he wouldn't have bothered sending to the player in the first place. I think it's a cool return...great work Jakre.

I know that I've been ecstatic in getting back autos from some obscure players for many reasons....maybe I have some special memory of the player, maybe it helps to complete a set I'm working on...whatever. I'm always glad for other people's successes too....and am always grateful when they take the time to post them.

Bottom line is that your question seems off-base to me....especially in a forum dedicated to baseball cards and autograph collecting!

Honestly it all depends on the player. Some don't mind the mail at home and others will only sign stuff sent to the old team. You just have to check here and other sources to figure out whom......

Al Kaline will only sign stuff sent to Tiger stadium, and quickly. Stuff sent to his home is rejected....

We are on the same page as far as the hobby goes...we beleive in sharing, helping each other, helping each others friends, getting together to make sure there are at least two cards with every request, work on projects, share Mr. Thomas as a pen-pal and genuinely appreciate each other.

Its a friendship that has latest about 5 years. There isn't even any ups or downs in it. Just smooth and easy. I took him to the Portland Sea Dogs breakfast last weekend and he has not stopped thanking me.

Friendships in this hobby are very important to me. Friends are what make it all work. Through my friends I have "gifted" over 2500 autographs in the past years. And I don't even expect anything in return...I figure I let the friendship take care of that.

Sorry, didn't mean to make you feel old, it's just that I sort of stopped listening to them when they came out with "Roll the Bones" because it wasn't up to par with the stuff I loved in the 70's & 80's... so I just sort of lost track of them.
