Got Mr Murcer to sign my 1981 copy of The Yankee Encyclopedia, where I have 40+ autographs of many former Yanks. Bobby was very personable, chatting with everyone and taking pictures with anyone that asked. I had him sign directly underneath Mickey Mantle. Murcer asked "You sure you want me that close to Mickey"? I told him that I wouldn't have him sign anywhere else. Overall, a very pleasant experience with a genuinely nice man.

Thanks for sharing the story... I have heard the same thing about him... It was great when he came back to the YES network this year for a few games...

It was at Last Licks, Huntington, LI. They have had quite a few autograph signings there. Watch for their ads in the NY Post.

They have several stores. I think there is one in NJ,as well as upstate NY. They do charge a lot. Murcer was $50, but I had to have it. I collect only Yankees, and only guys that I really like, not just anybody. Anyway, their website is lastlicksicecream.com.

I just checked their site ..they want $60 for Larsen. That's insane.
It's so much cheaper to write the players and pay their fee .. I think Larsen gets like $5 - $7 in the mail ... unless there is something so valuable that you cannot risk losing it in the mail ... even then I'd have to check myself on paying 60 for Larsen. They're preying on the nostalgic feelings of older men because no KID is going ... "mommy .. I need $60 for Don Larsen's autograph .. it's a STEAL"
