Before you open it. There a pretty good buys on Steath Bats on Ebay, but I jsut notioced that they're 2006 models. Would a new in wrapper bat still be a good bat?

Just wondering, I have no idea.

Are you saying that the bat has been in wrapper since 06? As long as it has no water damage or anything, it should be 100% O.K.

Yeah, I buy older model bats all the time for my teams. Hell, they don't know any better! :D

"How long is a bat good?"

I thought How Long is a football announcer and former Hall of Fame player.

The -3 bats don't go dead. They will last until they dent or flatten and get tossed from a game. The double wall youth bats will go dead in a year, sometimes two, of use. An unused bat is still good. My son bought a two year old Liquid Metal. it was a good bat until the knob broke off, which had nothing to do with age.

They will at some point also develop micro-cracks that run parallel to the bat, but this usually takes several years and thousands of hits.
