So yea right now i own a brown and tan nike show series 12" i like 12" so im sticking with a 12" glove but im not allowed to pitch at the highschool level with my glove now cuz they say it cannot be two toned cuz it distracts the hitter So i need an all black glove, or just a solid good glove, any suggestions? I need one thats gonna break in real easy and have enough padding in the pocket thanks guys, and is there other sections to this site cuz idk if this is the right place to ask. thanks.

lol, you may want to find out if this glove is legal to pitch with.
that is one of those "down south gloves" like the down south hats in another post.

How much are you looking to spend?
Rawlings has good 12 inch gloves you can use to pitch, but they aren't cheap. Plus they are Rawlings so they'll last a while and feel amazing.
www.rawlings.com
Then go to our products , then baseball , and gloves

You might want to check the rules. 2-tone gloves should be okay as long as there is no white.

The Rawlings Gold Glove series are great gloves for the price. They used to be $100+, but now you can get them for much less than that at a store, as well as about $50 on ebay and similar sites.
The Heart of the Hide and Pro Preferred are perhaps made a little better... but the Gold Glove series is a very close "second best" and will hold up very well.
I have a GGP601B, which is a 12 3/4 outfielders glove. I use it to coach both baseball and youth softball for my kids. Had it for several years, it broke in extremely easily, and has held it's shape very well (i.e. not floppy or overly broken in along the perimeter of the glove or the fingers.... but the pocket is very soft.) It's a well padded glove in the pocket as well... with an extra layer of leather sewn into the palm/pad.
Any high end mizuno glove is very good as well.... but definitely softer to begin with. Easier to break in, but maybe not hold it's shape as well (i.e. infielders shaping the fingers to their liking.... etc.) Mizuno MVP series comes to mind as one that's comparable to the Rawlings Gold Glove Series.
Good Luck!!

I recommend the Wilson A2000 My son has the Wilson A2K which has the higher quality Kip Leather. My son borrowed a teammate's Easton 12 inch for outfield and liked that glove too.

is that a Heart of the hide? or is that a gold glove?
That is DEFINITELY Heart of the Hide, the new 2008 model... not even in stores yet! You can tell by the little red Rawlings Logo on the back of the glove, top of the web....
Gold Glove Series DO NOT have that logo at all... just leather there. So, Heart of the Hide.... STIFF AS A BOARD to start with (like the A2000's) but will break in beautifully and last forever.
If you are looking for something softer right off the rack, the MVP series by Mizuno is the way to go... or the Rawlings Gold Glove Series. The mizunos are softer.....
Or Nokona... they're soft to begin as well.
Do you have a big box Sporting Goods Store in your area? (That would be Dick's Sporting Goods here in the Midwest) Go there..... put your hand in EVERYTHING, and then hit ebay... you'll save about 30% maybe more, and you will KNOW what you are getting, you've just had your hand in it!!

I'm pretty sure they changed the rules, you can pitch with a 2 tone glove now. but anyways my rawlings glove (which I've had since i was 12 lol 12 3/4) broke and has been ripping so I got myself a Mizuno MVP 11.5, and the leather is sooo soft and broke in so easily (played only 2 games with it). Got it for $110 CAD (was on sale) you'll probably find it for less in the states.

I am the proud owner of a Nokona AMG 1150 Modified Trap. It's a AWESOME glove and extremely well made. I love everything about it. I Have even had an umpire walk by, notice it and ask to look at it and put it on. Nokona definitely makes some of the worlds best gloves. As far as breaking in. No problem a few rounds of catch with my brother and it was great.
p.s. definitely get buckaroo leather

okay pretty much you are going to get 100 different answers of which glove is the best because people have different needs, hands, feel and comfort. As for me, i have owned a Rawling Gold Glove, Heart of the hide, Premium series, signature series and many more. I own a wilson A2000 now. What you need to do is go to a local sporting goods store (yahoo local it) and try on every glove in the store, even those that you wouldnt even touch due to the price. When you try it on, feel the inside, even before break in it should feel sort of comfortable. Also, try to avoid buying online until you have tried the glove on, like go to the store and try it on, and if the deal on the internet is better than in store, then go ahead.

there is no difference is quality, the only change is that they give you the gold patches the gold glove winners recieve. if u want the gold patches, go for the 2007-8 Gold Glove series. its cheaper, and you get those nice gold patches :hyper: lol

i really think that nokonas are the most durable gloves that last the longest and look great...they are also made in the U.S.!!!

For fielders gloves I like Wilson, Rawlings and Akadema (in that order).
For catchers mitts I like Wilson, All-Star and Rawlings (in that order).
IMO Mizuno's are not what they once were and Nokonas fielders gloves feel way too heavy for my preference.

yah i guess nokonas feel kind of heavy...thats what makes them durable..i see what u mean though...the leather is really thick
