Here is a 2B from this weekend's series. I thought this one was gone but hit off the top of the wall in right. (320-330 feet) wood.

i think there may be some separation between the body and hands....
hard to tell without seeing the load sequence.... but it looks like alittle separation, minor dragging?
anyone agree?

No bug squishing going on. Hard to tell about anything else with this few fps.
Definitely gets on his toes. Look at the dirt move in front of his back foot. Squishing is only occurring after contact on follow-through. Seems as though you sort of "bar" your lead arm across your chest a la Griffey. I would say your swing closely resembles Griffey.

Easy to miss things when clip quality is poor.

I think your "right there". It would be nice to see the load sequence but with the bat speed he's generating its a foregone conclusion he's loading well. Any perceived "falling back", I think, is natural positioning to hitting an inside pitch. You kept your hands inside the ball beautifully.
For a LH hitter to be able to hit that pitch takes away a real advantage from a pitcher. You look like you were crowding the plate. Did you have 2 strikes on you? Or do you naturally setup right off the plate?

No, I wasn't crowding the plate, but i wasn't way off of it either. I think it was a 1/1 count. I will post a clip in the future with my load sequence, thats what i seem to change from game to game. I'm just trying to get comfortable at the plate and maximize my ability.

it was just a digital camera taking quick pictures. I put 10 still pictures together to make it into a clip, sorry for the poor quality.

I had a big leg kick and i don't think I had any tipping or loading
Now i'm working on loading and shorten my leg kick

Does he get a sore knee or ankle?
It looks to me he hyper existences his front knee and twists his ankle after he swings out of his shoes.
To each his own. As long as it does not do damage in the long term.
The swing looks powerful to me, but it looks like it hurts. But you know sometimes it feels good to hurt like that. Not trying to sound kinky, just being respectful.
respectfully yours,

Knees are double jointed to an extent. Kind of like Andruw Jones?
But it does sound kinky! :laugh

OK, but the pitch does look inside to me, still a strike but inside. I think you turned on it beautifully. Your second clip shows a swing thats had a lot of work put into it. Nicely done!
