IMO, Way better than last year's. I like the American League better than the National, though.

Just so as to show the difference, here are last year's uniforms.

What's the point of even having these jerseys if they don't wear them (during the game at least).

One, because they're batting practice and two, they make money off of people who want to buy them. :P

And they were them at the HR Derby.

I would like the Derby better if they wore their team's home jersey.

That's how I feel. If you're going to have the jerseys, wear them for everything. Otherwise, don't wear them at all.

The Goldgen Gate Bridge "I" is tacky, IMO. Good thing they only wear them in BP and the Derby (2 things I don't watch).

Why don't they were these uniforms during the actual game. Would't that make sense?

It's better for the players to wear their home team jerseys so that it's easier to determine the player's identity.

Shouldn't you know that anyway. When players are playing for an international squad (and therefore not wearing his normal teams jersey) you still know who everyone is.

This is one of the worst things brought into the All-Star Game IMO. I have absolutely hated these jerseys since they started wearing them at the '97 Home Run Derby. It's all about making more money from them and with the exception of '99 uniforms(which I will admit I actually kind of liked)they have all been ugly as hell. I wish they would just wear there BP,spring training jerseys. Even though I have a problem them as well but that's for another time.

Well, maybe it's so fans can identify the players on their team. Let's say it's the third inning and a Yankee fan turns on the game, he sees someone wearing the Yankee away jersey and can naturally assume ARod is still in the game but if they're wearing the AL Jersey, you can't tell right away.

I really think its an issue. If he's a real Yankee fan, he should be able to tell it's A-rod.

Are you saying that their just not going to be bothered to look at the player's face or, if they aren't familiar with their face for some reason, wait for the guys name to be displayed or said? It just seems like a farfetched reason.

Well you think the recent all star uniforms are bad then look at this:

Jersey worn by Kansas City Blues catcher Elden Breese during the 1938 American Association All-Star Game

You know when a network comes back from a break and they really don't show the players up close but like the entire infield or outfield. That's what I'm talking about.

If you don't believe me, then the next reason is MLB knows the unis are ugly and don't want to showcase them during the main event.

They should wear those uniforms but with their team's caps.
