I just got done with college and I am temporarily back home before I head out into the "real world." While I'm here, I'm cleaning out my closet and rest of my room. I've been collecting baseball cards pretty heavily since 1987 all the way through 2007. Now it is time for me to thin the collection down to something manageable. I've decided that I'm going to keep all of my Ripkens and Clemens and everything else is going on the block.

My dilema is this: I don't want to just throw everything away when I know that there are collectors like you out there that could use this for TTM's or to further enhance your collection. However, I don't want to lose money on shipping everything out without anything in return. If anyone has any creative ideas on what to do to battle this, let me know.

In the meantime, here's the plan: I'm going to break my collection into team lots. The size of these lots is up to you. I would guess that for some of the non-expansion teams that I could get lots up to 250 cards or more. These lots will include everything (inserts, rookies, stars, semi-stars, commons). The only thing that I would ask for in return is for you to cover the cost of shipping. If you really like what you got in your lot, maybe toss in a Ripken or a Clemens BUT only if you liked what you got in your lot. Like I said, I'm not doing this to make money, I'm doing it because I can't bring myself to throw cards away. Let me know if anyone is interested in doing this.

(Player collectors, feel free to respond also. I can scan through my collection for player lots as well)

How big of lots are you looking for because I could come up with some pretty good sized lots of those teams. Also, I'll get back to you on the Trammells and Smoltzs. I know off hand that I have a pretty good assortment of Smoltz.

well, i dont want to spend more than $10 shipping, so anything like that. I'm also looking for more Yankee than red sox (red sox collection went to 1500 cards in a previous trade....still sorting, lol). but also, do you have any GU's or Auto's that you would sell?

I am interested in any baseball card. I just started my collection a couple of months ago. I am making this collection for my kids. Right now they are 6 and 10 years old, so When they grow up they are going to have a nice collection. I will pay for the shipping. Where are you from? and let me know if you have any idea on how much would be for the shipping.

Thanks for the overwhelming response guys. Right now I'm working on building the Twins, Yankees, Red Sox, Cubs, and Reds lots. I'm close to 3/4 of the way through my collection. I'll let you know when I have those ready for you. For everyone else (Mets, Dodgers, etc.), I'll be getting to yours within the next couple of days. I'll let you know when I have things ready to go.

I'd be interested in all Brewers cards as well as the Highland coins. I have quite a few from those years, but if I do have the card I just turn around and send them off to a friend in Milwaukee who is collecting for his son. email is the same as my username and I'm at triwest dot net. Thanks!
