I’ve got two questions about the 1927 Yankees.

1) Ruth 60, Gehrig 47, and Lazzeri 18, finished 1-2-3 in the Home Run race. Are they the only team to have three player’s finish 1-2-3?

2) Is the 29 HR difference between # 2 Gehrig and # Lazzeri the highest difference between a second and third place finisher?

Thanks for any help.

I've done some looking and nothing yet. Would have thought for sure it might
be the Philadelphia A's of Jimmie Foxx, Al Simmons, etal. Nada.
Or even the Cleveland Indians with: Al Rosen, Larry Doby, Luke Easter, etal. Nada too.
I guess it don't count in 1963 with the SF Giants: McCovey-44, Mays-38, Cepeda-34,
but Milw Braves had Herny Aaron on top tied with 44? That's not quite it, ay?!

I'm not sure about the largest gap between 2nd and 3d place but the biggest between a TEAM's first and second place finisher was in 2001 when Sammy Sosa led the Cubs with 64 long balls and Matt Stairs and Rondell White were second on the club with 17 homers each.
