Well that was fun while it lasted. Nothing wrong with a one-hitter.

No, just a Rockie fan on the wrong end.
I watched this game today and Willie Taveras clearly beat out a infield hit to lead off the game that the ump blew. Hats off to McGowan though, he pitched lights out and only needed 2 good defensive plays to keep the no hitter going.

Did they cut in? I know they didn't on the Buhrle one. Maybe it's only when I'M watching it and they cut in.

They broadcast the last 3 outs of Verlander's no-no live, looks like the jinx doesnt exactly work all the time.

I think they did the last 6 outs of Verlander's. Maybe that's the trick - do 2+ innings or else the no-hitter will be lost.

I think that hard single by Jeff Baker up the middle done most of the cursing.

I don't think it is a coincidence that every time a no hitter is broken up, someone gets a hit. A curse, I tell ya. :D

Not exactly, in 2005 Rich Harden had a perfect game in the 8th, ESPN broadcast it, and with one out, Alfonso Soriano broke it with a single.
