WASHINGTON -- General manager Jim Bowden announced that right-hander Jason Bergmann will start against the Braves next Tuesday night in Atlanta, and setup man Luis Ayala will be activated from the disabled list on Friday.

Good to see Bergmann come back, hopefully he can pitch like he did to start the season. And wow Ayala, I don't remember the last time this guy pitched, very excited to see him back, we can always use the help in the bullpen :p

Ayala was a starting pitcher last year or so, right? He wasn't that good as a SP, but I think he will be much better as a setup man.

Dude, Ayala was a prime setup man who lost 2006 to shoulder surgery.

Glad to have him back, and glad to dump Speigner and Abreu, we also called up Chris Schroder, who has 43 K in 31 innings with Columbus, and a 1.50 ERA as a reliever.
