Hello. This game is intended to vote off the top sluggers in baseball's history.
I have excluded the following players to make this more interesting:
Babe Ruth
Ted Williams
Barry Bonds
Wille Mays
Hank Aaron
IMPORTANT: Please don't just judge players on homers. Just because player A can't whomp as many balls as player B doesn't mean he isn't a great slugger.
So, here is your list:
Mickey Mantle
Jimmie Foxx
Lou Gehrig
Sammy Sosa
Mark McGuire
Ralph Kiner (369 homers in 10 seasons? amazing)
Hank Greenburg
Harmon Killebrew
Frank Robinson
Wille McCovey
Wille Stargell
Stan Musial
Ken Griffey Jr.
Raphael Plameiro(I probably did not spell this correctly)
Reggie Jackson
Mel Ott
Ernie Banks
Mike Schmidt
Frank Baker
A-Rod
If there is anyone that you think should be added, please post so.
Vote for 2 candidates every round.
Here are my votes (or "vote-off's")
Ernie Banks and Wille Stargell.

I'm sorry gentlemen. But it looks like I can't continue this because there aren't enough people voting.

Can we get this going with numbers? I think people would vote on it

maybe a good way to go is vote 1 "+", and 1 "-"
or
vote 2 "+" and 2 "-"
have a go at it, 4189

I have seen this system but homestly, I don't know how it works. My guess is that if you minus 1 then that counts as a vote against the player. And whoever has the most votes against him is eliminated. If that isn't how that works, then I would like someone to plaease tell me. Thanks.

So... how does this plus/minus system work? I'm still rather new, and I haven't found out yet.

if its not too late i think we should add the best baseball player ever to the list joe dimaggio who if not for an eye infection would have the record for the best batting average ever in a season if his coach wouldve let him sit for a week so he could rest up his eye that he wasnt able to open, just my opinion
Heres my list anyway

but some people are putting player X down from 5 to 1. You said only 2 -'s per turn. 5-2=3 (as we all know).

Outside of Joe DiMaggio, I'm not sure you'd get anyone to agree with you about him being the best player ever.
And Joe D. never came near the best average ever for a season. I'm not sure who you're talking about there, but it's not him. George Sisler maybe? He was the one with the eye/sinus issues.
Since I'm here . . .
