Okay so I am looking for some answers to some baseball questions for a contest at my work. I am sure since I am a female they think I wouldnt know, but hopefully with your help, I can provide a answer.
The questions are:

In 1974 Henry Aaron broke Babe Ruth's career record of 714 home runs. The question is; Whose career home run record, which was held from 1897 to 1921, did Babe Ruth break to take the lead?

Bonus question: Within 10%, rounded down to the next whole number, of how many homers did the previous record consist? (You need not answer the primary question correctly to get this point...)

Come one come all baseball buffs out there and help a girl out!!! Thank you
Katherine
