I vote for Big Tex. I think he will continue to be one of the premiere firstbasemen in the game. I am predicting him to play at least another 10 to 12 years (hopefully the trade rumor of him going to the O's will come true)...and swatting 500 career homers with 1,700 or more RBI's. Edmonds glove alone should get him into the HOF though. But overall as a hitter, Teixeira will have the better career.

I'm curious, Sockeye, how do you compare a first baseman in his 5th season to a center fielder in his 15th? In the case of Jim Edmonds, people could say the "If he retired today?" thing. However, Texeira's career hasn't really bloomed by comparison.
