I don't know the answer to this one:

Has there ever been 4 straight batters who have hti for the natural or regular cycle?

If not, I think that is one rarity baseball will only achieve once (if ever).

It has happened at least twice. One was by Reggie Cleveland of Boston in 1977 to the first four batters of the game (single, triple, double, homer.)

Yeah. I don't have any real data to supply. But I'd guess that this has actually happened several times. I'd be kind of surprised if it hasn't happened around half a dozen times in the history of the game- for the natural cycle.

It was not a natural cycle but the item below is interesting. I researched it for a future updated edition of my trivia book..........

Angels rookie Ervin Santana made his big league debut on May 17, 2005, against the Indians at Jacobs Field by allowing the first four batters to hit for the cycle against him. The Angels staked him to an early 1-0 lead thanks to Steve Finley’s RBI single in the top of the first, but Santana quickly relinquished the lead. Grady Sizemore tripled to right field and was followed by Coco Crisp who smashed a pitch into the right field corner for what should have been a triple, but he was only credited with a double because he was tagged out after oversliding the third base bag. Travis Haffner followed with a single and then Ben Broussard homered into the right field stands to make it 3-1. Santana left after four innings, having allowed eight hits and six runs as the Indians went on to pound out 19 total hits and cruise to a 13-5 win.
