OOOOOhhhh..I'd say Edmonds is better offensively, but Rolen's D at third is pretty damn good, I'm thinking he may be a better defender than Mike Schmidt. This is a thoughie.

I voted Scott Rolen mainly because he will probably go down as a top 10 third baseman of all-time and easily top 5 definsive third baseman. But Edmonds on the other hand might not even get inducted into the HoF.

If I had to chose right now, it would be Edmonds. I think Rolen has a chance of passing Edmonds later in his career, but he has struggled so far this year. I'm not sure how long he will be able to hang around. This might just be a bad couple of months for Rolen or a sign that he is loosing his skills. He needs to have a couple more good years to pass Edmonds and probably three or four more good years to make the Hall.
