Didn't do a search on what I have but I know I have some 88 Topps. Have a wantlist at http://www.geocities.com/prowling_cat_productions/Baseball_Cards/Set_Wants.html .. Willing to trade for any business cards from baseball teams. See your thing says you live in Boston so I'd trade for any Red Sox schedules you could find. I know there are a ton of different covers and other stuff in the area.

Are you aware that, among old Topps sets, 1988 is one of the cheapest and most readily available complete sets out there? I know it's fun to hand collect some sets--I've done it with many older sets--but as we speak, there are some 89 1988 Topps sets currently for sale on ebay.

The first one I saw just now is on auction (bidding ends on 1 Sept.) for an opening bid of $4.99. There are as yet no bidders. There is also a "Buy it Now" button that some auctions have, whereby you can end the bidding by offering the slightly higher price. That price is now $7.99!

The link for this item (cut and paste this long url) is:

There is a period of Topps (1986 to 1992) where the sets were so overprinted that they are practically being given away these days. They are virtually worthless as collector investments go, but to a fan/collector (like me) they are still worth having. And I bought them all on ebay as whole sets within a 2-week period a few years back. Never paid more than $30 for any of them.

Just a suggestion.

Shay,

I have been collecting for many years. I have lots of duplicates of the cards you are requesting. I would be willing to make a trade. What do you have to offer?
