Recently i went throough 2 games where my average went from .600 to .400 because i started to pull of (1-8). The reason why i wasn't hitting well is because i was really early on the first day. So the next day i would think "oppo" and i was now very late on the ball. as a result, i would hit a ground ball to the second basemen or the shortstop. what can i do to prevent this from happening again (thankfully i have stopped for now).

and another question, how do you import videos from a cannon digital camera onto a mac? i am just curious so i can put up my swing so the gurus on this site can see and point things out that i may of not already known.

Timing has a lot to do with batting as you know. Different speed pitching could throw your timing off. Without knowing a thing about your circumstances, instead of changing your swing in anyway. I would just move forward or back in the batters box.
Do the below two suggestions only if you know your normal placement in the batters box and pitch speed you are use to.
----------------------------------
Forward if you (ahead of the ball) * pulling*
Backward if you (behind the ball)
Basically all you are doing is giving yourself another nano sec.+ or - to see the ball, if you move backwards or forward, in the box. do it a few inches at a time.
-----------------------------------
Like I said I know nothing of your swing or type of pitchers you were facing or if you were just having a bad day. Keep it simple before you change what would seem to be a good swing.
it will work it self out

thank you, i think the problem might be that my timing was getting thrown of because i was wrapping my bat a little bit behind my head. i wasn't moving my hands back, but i was moving my body back, i think that's whats thrown me off, because when i went against good pitching (for my age) at like 70mph (he had pin point control)i went 2 for 3. the key, as you said was just to work it out. thank you.

I think the biggest mistake you made was making adjustments after one game you didn't feel was up to standard. You're not going to be a stud every game.

so you just think that i should stay true to my swing and not change my approach?

Quite true. OP, you might be changing your style based on a very limited sample size - it's entirely possible the pitchers just got the best of you on a given day, or you didn't have your best approach for a few at-bats.

Tough to tell without video and seeing you in a game, but you could just be out-thinking yourself. Go up there, be a hitter, and get a good pitch to hit. If you have trouble with the outside pitch, go to the cages and stand off the plate and work on it.

Yes, absolutely. Set it up deep in the zone and outside and practice going to right-center with it.

i havn't for a week because i changed my swing when i learned about rotational hitting and not sqawshing the bug. and my ankle which i sprained 1 month ago is hurting, but once it stops i will work on hitting the ball to the opposite field, and if i can figure out how to put videos online, i'll put up my swing so you and everyone else can help me improve. by the way, thank very much for your advice, i apreciate it. when i play for the cardinals i will thank you. lol
