A while back I asked about WS champions that had no HOFers on the team. Here is a list of them (starting in 1995...the 1996 Yankees are the most recent WS champion with a HOFer)
1995 Atlanta Braves
1990 Cincinnati Reds
1984 Detroit Tigers
1981 Los Angeles Dodgers
And that's it. Just 4 teams in the first 92 years of modern baseball have been able to win the World Series without the benefit of a Hall of Famer (although that Braves team will have a few eventually). No team was able to win a World Series without a Hall of Famer in the 1970s or any decade before that. There were less teams back then so that's probably part of the reason.

Amazing.
You are right about the 1995 Atlanta Braves. Maddux, Glavine, Smoltz and maybe Fred McGriff and Chipper Jones.
The 1990 Cincinnati Reds. I could see Barry Larkin with a shot at the HOF.
The 1984 Detroit Tigers. You have to admit, Jack Morris had a pretty good career.
The Dodgers had a pretty solid team in 1981 and I always thought Steve Garvey had a shot at the HOF, but it seems to be fading. You also have to admit, Bob Welch had a decent career. Probably not HOF worthy, but a good solid career nontheless. Maybe they should just elect Tommy Lasorda.

LaSorda is in. No player will, though. Garvey was talked about as a HOF'er while playing. More modern analysis has killed him. Ron Cey and Pedro Guerrero were fine players.
Jack Morris did have a pretty good career. Alan Trammel has a better shot, as does Lou Whitaker despite being dropped from the ballot. Likely, Sparky is the only HOF'er, along with both their boradcasters. (Kaline and Kell.) The Tigers had fine players at just about every position (many here will say Darrell Evans belongs, he's Bill James's most underrated player of all-time.) and it all came together after a red hot start.
Larkin likely will get in for the Reds. Eric Davis's health stood in the way of a HOF career. For the Braves, Maddux and Glavine are first-ballot, Chipper has a shot at that, Smoltz might wait a couple years but should get in.

2001 D-Backs: Randy Johnson
2002 Angels: K-Rod? But that is extrapolating way into the future
2003: Marlins: No one as I can see
2004 Red Sox: Manny Ramirez
2005: White Sox: Frank Thomas
2006 Cardinals: Albert Pujols (of course he has more work to do)

Speaking of that list from 2001-present, you forgot Curt Schilling, he has a shot of possibly enter the HOF, and also Pedro Martinez.

Unless Orel Hershiser gets in (he won't)...what Dodger from the 1988 team is a HOFer?
Don Sutton was on the team for a stretch in the regular season, but he didn't appear at all during the postseason.

Don Sutton's the answer. Doesn't matter that he didn't appear in the postseason, he was still on the team. Frank Thomas didn't appear for the White Sox either, as I recall.

He appeared, he just wasn't on the roster.;)

Sutton was released in August 1988 and retired.

Right... but he was on the 1988 Los Angeles Dodgers. Just like Frank Thomas was on the 2005 White Sox. Lance Johnson got a World Series ring for the 2000 NY Yankees, even though he was released on June 6th that year.

But I think that lets put players that actually were on the playoff roster and not players that were in the roster at one point of the season, its more fair to say.
