I've never believed in tanking a season but its painfully obvious that this team isn't going anywhere this season or until at least 2008 and probably more like 2009 or 2010 so should they just tank and get themselves a top 3 pick?

I think they'll get that top 3 pick without thinking about it at this point.

Oh come on, 13-25 isn't THAT horrible, and besides, the way we're playing now, we can certainly make an attempt to get back in this, why is it that everyone on this board has given up just 38 games into the season?

Manny Acta hasn't, why should you?

Manny's job is to put a winning attitude and atmosphere in the team. What kind of message would it send if he said "We suck, lets give up" right out loud. I honestly don't think he believes this team has much of chance to finish better than last in the division.

This team is designed for the future and the only way they're going to be any good then is with some high draft picks.

This one of the reason I hate "bad teams pick first" drafts. I know it's probably the fairest way to do it, but it's depressing to watch a team like that ( I witnessed the '07 Celtics) What if the 1914 Miracle Braves tanked it? What if the '67 sox tanked it?
