No way, not Flores and I'm not too sure about Hill.
Right now, I know that Zim is the base, period.
Colin Ballester is having a great year in AA, Mike Hinckley is too.
Jesus Flores is in no way the "future"!

Why not, a 22-year old catcher with good skills who will be/is being mentored by Brian Schneider, sounds good.

How can you not consider a young catcher such as Flores to be one of the foundations of your team? I know that the Mets were very high on Flores but left him exposed to the Rule V Draft because they didn't think anyone would use a MLB roster spot on a guy who had yet to play above Single A. Should Flores develop like many believe he will, he will definately be a cornerstone of the Nationals franchise along with Zimmerman.

Exactly. Hes shown excellent skills, defensively and at the plate in his short time with the club, plus hes only 22 and has plenty of time to improve. Some project him as a big power hitting catcher. BA thinks that going directly from A to MLB will hamper his development but i don't think it will too much. Should be a great catcher, an AS even, in a few years.
And although I love Hill and i think he looks great hes been pretty injury prone and is 25 which isn't a great age to start a career.
Casto looks to be part of the future too.

Exactly, but Prior is about 100,000,000,000,000 times better than Hill.
THIS JUST IN, THIS JUST IN SHAWN HILL IS TO GO ON THE DL...... AGAIN!!!

Hill is not that bad, yes it is true that he is on the DL for long periods, but he is a good pitcher. If the Nats had any run support for him he would've won more games. The only thing that I am worried about is for some reason Zimmerman doesn't end up staying here. The front office is not too bright, hence Soriano's deal, and I am not sure if I totally trust them.
