Batista doesn't count since he left the Expos to play in Japan and signed with the Twins before being released and signed to a minor-league deal by the Nats.

Yeah he does cause he played for them in '04 and is on the roster as of this question. I didn't think Patterson ever pitcher for the Nationals when they were in Montreal though, i knew he was drafted by them but there was some stupid technicality and they weren't allowed to sign him.

Actually, Patterson was re-acquired from the Diamondbacks to pitch in 2004 and was horrible, and I mean horrible, I watched him and I sighed: How can this guy have been our first round pick, and I knew why the following season.
