Heh heh heh heh heh. You know, Langerhans had something like 4 at-bats with the A's. Traded on Saturday, and then traded on Wednesday.

I like Langerhans better than Snelling. He can probably hit at or near what Snelling would given some time and will play far better defense than Snell would've.

I agree; other than a bit of a defensive advantage for the Nats, this was about as neutral a trade as they get. Snelling had a good spring, but wasn't tearing it up since, and Langerhans has been in a huge slump all year. Either Beane and Bowden see something in the player they got that the other didn't, or they thought it would put them in a better trading position going forward.
