Well it does take time. The player might be in a bad slump be grumpy and not think of signing fan mail until they get back on a good streak. Maybe their signing habits change. Who knows. I have gotten back from players after like a year or two. And I give up hope after about a year.

Only the best signers are going to return something within a couple weeks. Most take a month or two, and some take much longer, as AC said, up to a year or more. So, unfortunatly, all I can say is "be patient".

I had a similar experience with him. I bought a 1956 Topps Virgil Trucks on eBay and sent it to him (CA to AL) and it took about 10 days. He signed my card, added 2 more cards that he signed, wrote me a letter (and signed it) and included a flyer about his book which he signed at the end. I went ahead and bought the book since I'm a Tigers fan and it'll be signed, too.

1.) My brother wrote to him last year at Mr Pesky's home... it came back marked "refused".

Gary Rajisch 1/1 c/o home. Sent back in July and he added the 2-cent stamp to cover the postage increase.

So this answers everyone's questions about the increase in postage. Some you will get back without a problem, some you will owe the 2 cents, and some the player will add the 2-cent stamp.

Sure seems like it to me. I've been shutout on the roughly 25 requests that I've sent out since the season started. I've definately had more luck with the retired players.....I don't know if this is a trend or what....but I think I might save myself the stamps and focus on the retired guys!
