I have to vent after that 12 inning loss to the Mets tonight. If the Rox had won that in the 10th, when they took a 1-0 lead, I think that might have been the springboard toward better things for the ball club. Instead, we have a team that has only scored 11 runs in its last 57 innings while losing 5 of the last 6. The other day, the Red Sox hit 4 home runs in a row. That's more than half of the Rockies' total HRs through 21 games. Alex Rodriguez HR total is double what the entire Rockies team has. The Rockies are making opposing pitchers look like Cy Young re-incarnated. I have to feel bad for Aaron Cook, who has pitched two really great games and two pretty good games in five starts, and yet the Rockies haven't won any of those five.

Maybe I'm still in disbelief that O'Dowd and Hurdle were given two year extensions. The next time I'm at a Mavericks game, I may have to go down and beg Mark Cuban to buy the Rockies.

That was another ugly lost by the Rockies. Entering the season I thought are 3-6 hitter's could match up with anybody in the league. 7 lousy HR's all year and just set a franchise record of going 7 games without a HR.

Still haven't read what caused that balk by Ryan Speier, stopped right in the middle of his delivery. Must have lost his grip on the ball.

This is rediculous. Our 3-6 is playingf decent but the rest of our team couldn't hit a beachball

I feel bad for Cook. He threw a good game against a potent offense. Is it time for Hurdle to shake up things a bit? I think it is before they dig a deeper hole...

I watched the game on mlb.tv last night, and if the balk DIDN'T occur, Shawn Green would have still been on 2nd, Reyes could hae still walked, and Chavez definatly wouldn't have bunted with 2 outs. The outcome could have been MUCH different obviously.

Yeah if Ryan would have just not stopped and just pitched out it would have been a lot different

Ok, I'm watching the 12th inning on mlb.tv "replay"... and Speir went to his full windup, and delivery, and held onto the ball, and then proceded to turn towards 2nd base as if he was going to throw the ball to 2B. THAT is why the balk was called.

I think Speier said his foot slipped or something, and it was either stop or throw it away.

Things are looking up today. After four innings, the Rockies are up 9-0. And they even broke the home run drought.
